When you read the Mahabharata you may become skeptic over the involvements of hi-tech weapons. How can people riding in horses and elephants and other primitive warfare used advanced weapons ?? On the one hand Mahabharata talks about primitive methods like bow and arrows, chariots, elephants, forts etc. On the other hand it mentions high tech weapons, vimanas, warriors who could withstand incredible weapons etc. What has really happened ? If we go indepth and find out the roots of various events in Mahabharatha, signs of powerful Alien presence are visible. These Aliens may be millions of light years ahead of us in technology. To understand their technology our 21st century human brain may be incapable. Scientist say that the human brain is evolving in accordance with time. In other words, human brain inculcates the knowledge of all our predecessors which are stored in its DNA. So to perceive things that are millions of light years ahead is almost impossible through materialistic means. Whereas through spiritual means, Rishis and great saints through yogic trans travel in time without limits attain knowledge and enlighten us.
The British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking said he is almost certain that alien life exists in other parts of the universe, "To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational. The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like". He believes alien life not only certainly exists on planets but perhaps even in other places, like within stars or even floating in outer space. He has also warned that a few of these species might be intelligent and threaten Earth. "If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans," he said. He has advocated that, rather than try to establish contact, humans should try to avoid contact with alien life forms. But I believe that the highly advanced Aliens knew the entire methodology of the earth, long long ago. They also knew what will be the potential of human brain to perceive in a given period of say "light years".
By the year 1979, Mr. David W. Davenport (an India born English man) published a book named “Tomlinson devastation 2000BC” in Italy, in which he raised an alien theory about the ruins of Mohenjo Daro. This theory was the backdrop of excavations of Mohenjo Daro when archeologists found a large number of skeletons, which displayed a shocking death scenario of the past. where almost entire city population was died on the streets. Davenport thought that the Aryans controlled regions where space aliens were mining minerals and exploiting other natural resources, because it was a Mongol city, the aliens had agreed to destroy Mohenjo Daro on behalf of the Aryans. The aliens needed the friendship of the Aryan kings so that they could continue their prospecting and research. Though the Aryan Invasion Theory was later proved as crap by scientific research and archeological discoveries the Alien presence advocated by Davenport makes sense. Because such a devastation could not happen unless and otherwise an advanced technological weapon was used. The only possibility being the involvement of scientifically advanced Aliens.
The weapons of Mahabharatha obtained by the most powerful characters are from a very few sources. One main source of knowledge is "Parasurama" from whom Drona passes it to the Pandavas, Kauravas, Aswattama and others. Karna also learns the science of weapons from Parasurama, son of Jamadagni who source knowledge from super power lord "Shiva". The incredible "Bhishma" acquires knowledge from sage "Vashishta" on various subjects. Arjuna too becomes more powerful than his peers because of his obtaining weapons from Lord shiva and the Devas. [Pasupathastra from shiva and weapons from Indra, Vayu, Kuvera, Yama etc].
The Devas and the Asuras are Aliens who belong to outer worlds and were always in dispute with each other in their respective planets. The Deva's are authorized to take care of the administration (probably) of this galaxy or a dimension of space. The Asuras who are rebels against the authority of Devas habitually try to capture the Deva's core planet "Devaloka". But Devas defeat them at times by their own power or seek the help of the universal super powers or scientifically infinitely advanced trinity like "Brahma", "Vishnu" and "Shiva". These infinitely super powers take Avatars and contain the Asuras. It is assumed that the Devas or Aditis defeated the Asuras and drive them out from their home planets. The Asuras to consolidate their position might have selected Earth and started to occupy the planet. They (The Asuras) implanted their genes into different creatures of the earth. The Devas in order to retain their sovereignty, came to the earth by taking births in human bodies [Probably the human body is the best instrument to live in earthly conditions but genetically modifying their DNA to withstand powerful weapons] The Aliens took birth in different human bodies by way of natural and artificial means.
"ADI PARVA SECTION LXIV (Adivansavatarana Parva continued)"The Asuras, O lord of men, began to be born in kingly lines. And the sons of Diti (Daityas) being repeatedly defeated in war by the sons of Aditi (celestials) and deprived also of sovereignty and heaven, began to be incarnated on the earth. And, O king, the Asuras being possessed of great powers, and desirous of sovereignty began to be born on earth amongst various creatures".
From the above we could understand that that the Aliens not only provided weapons but also participated in the war. Their biological structure was also very strong enough to withstand powerful weapons, while ordinary humans died in millions. The Aliens used high technologies such as human cloning, vitro fertilization, artifical insemination, embryonic stem cells, sperm preservation etc. to establish their footprints in Earth.

Let us have a short view over the source of different characters in Mahabharatha. Each of these descriptions need further analysis but for the time being let us have a general view.
Krishna was the portion of Vishnu or Narayana. [Protector of the Universal system or Universal system itself] The divine Vishnu himself descended into the womb of Devaki and was born as her son Krishna
Bhishma the youngest among the eight vasus whom were born of celestial river Ganga by her husband Santanu. Here I would like to note Ganga is not just a normal river. It is called as "Akasha Ganga" or Milky way from where it is believed to come. Milky way is the name of our galaxy from where the Ganges was believed to be sourced.
In Ramayana there is a mention on this "Himavan gave Gangato the Devas. She flowed in heaven as a river of light and purified anything she touched. She flowed through the galaxies as the Akash Ganga(the Milky way), river of the firmament, with suns in her hair".
Drona was the son of Bharadhwaja maharishi took birth in a vessel without a mother.
"And the seed of the great Rishi Bharadwaja of severe penances, kept in a pot, began to develop and from that seed came Drona (the pot-born)".
Dhrishtadyumna, was born of the sacrificial fire.
Kripa was born of the tribe of the Rudras.
"At the sight of the Apsara "Saradwat", rishi Goutama's bow and arrows slipped from his hand and his frame shook all over with emotion; but possessed of ascetic fortitude and strength of soul, the sage mustered sufficient patience to bear up against the temptation. The suddenness, however, of his mental agitation, caused an unconscious emission of his vital fluid. Leaving his bow and arrows and deer-skin behind, he went away, flying from the Apsara. His vital fluid, however, having fallen upon a clump of heath, was divided into two parts, whence sprang two children that were twins"
Aswatthaman, was born on earth, of the united portions of Mahadeva, Yama, Kama, and Krodha.
Sakuni, was the yuga Dwapara himself (the third yuga).
Satyaki the king was born of the portion of gods called the Maruts.
Drupada was also born of the same tribe of the celestials.
Kritavarman was born of the portion of the same celestials.
Virata the royal sage was born of the portion of the same gods
Dhritarashtra born of Vyasa was the king of Gandharvas.
Pandu father of the pandavas was Purity's self.
Vidura, was god of Justice himself, was the excellent and greatly fortunate son of the Rishi Atri.
Duryodhana, was born of a portion of Kali on earth.
Duryodhana's brothers (starting from Dushasana, hundred in numbers) were the sons of Pulastya (the Rakshasas)
Yudhishthira was a portion of Dharma
Bhimasena was of the deity of wind;
Arjuna was of Indra and also Nara.
Nakula and Sahadeva,were portions of the twin Aswins.
Abhmimanyu was varcha the son of Soma
Dhrishtadyumna was a portion of Agni.
Sikhandin, who was at first a female was (the incarnation of) a Rakshasa.
The five sons of Draupadi, those bulls amongst the Bharata princes, were the celestials known as the Viswas. Their names were Pritivindhya, Sutasoma, Srutakirti, Satanika and Srutasena.
Pradyumna of great energy was Sanatkumara.
Gopikas - The portions of the tribe of Apsaras also became incarnate on earth according to Indra's commands--And sixteen thousand portions of those goddesses became, O king, in this world of men, the wives of Vasudeva.
Rukmani was a portion of Sri (Lakshmi) herself.
Draupadi was born of a portion of Sachi (the queen of the celestials), in the line of Drupada
Kunti and Madri were the two goddesses Siddhi and Dhriti.
